That’s doubly true when you’re moving across the country and buying a home more or less remotely, or “sight unseen.” In that situation, having a realtor who is communicative, friendly, proactive, and willing to go the extra mile (or two) to take as much stress off your shoulders as possible is absolutely essential. That realtor is Patrick Bowman. We actually met Patrick while visiting Portland. We had plans to move back to the area and were peeking into an open house he just happened to be showing. We weren’t ready to buy yet, but wanted to check out some homes in the neighborhoods we were considering. We got a good “vibe” from Patrick almost immediately. He has a warm, kind, and genuine demeanor that makes him incredibly easy to talk to. About a month later, we seriously started looking for a home in the Beaverton area. We initially went with a realtor recommended by a family member, but unfortunately had a terrible experience. We quickly remembered Patrick and reached out using the card he had given us when we first met. We explained our situation to him, and from that point forward, he was a complete and utter superstar. Everything our previous realtor had fallen short on, Patrick excelled at: communication, being proactive, asking the right questions, and often having answers to questions before we even thought to ask them. Considering we were navigating this process from across the country, that level of attention and responsiveness meant everything to us. I know this is a gushing review, but it’s all true. Patrick was absolutely amazing. I didn’t know what to expect when we contacted him or started working with Lovejoy, but I certainly didn’t expect to come out of the process feeling like we had become friends with our realtor. Patrick’s warmth and genuineness, combined with the simple fact that he is an incredibly skilled and knowledgeable broker, helped turn what could have been an unmanageably stressful process into an infinitely better experience. We couldn’t have asked for a better person to guide us through buying our home from across the country, and we would recommend Patrick without hesitation to anyone looking for a realtor in the Portland area.
